Waratah On York Launceston Guest Reviews
I would not go there again, it was v cold, no atmosphere. The owners were stingy with heating and the breakfast. Water for tea and coffee at breakfast not boiling, the urn did not seem to get to boiling point. Breakfast room and living areas were freezing with heating not turned on.

Room was spacious but carpet had marks and needed cleaning. Bathroom was spotless. Service couldn't be faulted: helpful, knowledgable, cheerful, etc.

A huge, comfortably furnished room in a lovely old building in a quiet location only a few minutes walk from the town centre made the Waratah the highlight of my visit to Launceston. The cheerful, friendly staff and the cosy lounge with its decanter of port were much appreciated also.

The room was very comfortable and quiet. Guests might need to be warned that the "Waratah" is on a very steep hill.
