The Windsor Hotel Newcastle Guest Reviews
Located nead the sea on the major partyroad in Whitley Bay, this is a good hotel for a business or pleasure stay. We upgraded our room and got a big, fine room which was very good. Breakfast good. There is a bar in the hotel which was okay, but you are better off finding a real pub just up the road. It was horrible winter on our visit, but this must be a great place in the summer, I would love to come back and would not mind at all to stay at the Windsor Hotel again.

I arrived late Saturday evening to find that this hotel was surrounded by night clubs with music blaring, this continued until past 2am. The hotel itself is very pleasant - restaurant is good - but in daylight one can see it is in a street of nightclubs and several other hotels in that street and adjacent ones, with a few rather run down looking guest houses as well (and some private dwellings). the town is looking quite run down - I gather it used to be a family resort, but this no longer seems to be the case.

The food at The Windsor Hotel, which by the way is in Whitley Bay not Newcastle, is excellent. Both lunch and dinner were top class.
