Location
The Westin is surrounded by world-renown fine dining and shopping, in the vibrant downtown area of San Francisco. Cable cars pass by the hotel on their way through Union Square to North Beach and Fisherman's Wharf. Chinatown and the Financial District are steps away.

The Westin St. Francis San Francisco Hotel On Union Square Guest Reviews
I have been staying at The Westin St. Francis Union Square for a few years during which time I have appreciated the friendliness and professionalism of the staff. During my last stay at this hotel the concierge Anthony Rodriguez was a "life saver" in finding tickets - one Adult & one Child - for Totem Cirque du Soliel at the very last moment and then hand-delivering the tickets to my room. My 9-year old daughter sat at the edge of her seat throughout the performance. I plan to return to The Westin St. Francis Union Square in December 2011. Thank you Mr. Rodriguez. Thank you The Westin St. Francis.

The complaints about the hotel: 1. Internet had to pay if used in room 2. Parking high fee 3. Room air-conditioning took forever to cool the room 4. Gym had a fee to use facility

great location but overpriced / $50 to park your car for the night! I parked around the corner for $20 / not a great expereince to have to deal with

Great location at the heart of Union Square. Good service, clean rooms, convenient access to cable cars. Only downside is the streets are rather noisy and you hear it in the rooms.

This was for a fun weekend with the girls! It was in a great location! The room was very nice and comfortable! Parking was kind of expensive and the lady at the desk was a little snobbish. Other than that it was perfect for a nice clean place to stay with the girls!
