Rydges Lakeside Hotel Canberra Guest Reviews
Staff were very helpful, efficient & friendly. Room wasn't spectacular but well furnished, clean and comfortable. Good location for Government Offices and access to the lake. Also there are several good cafes within a few hundred metres.

Wishes 4 star hotels didnt feel the need to rip you off with parking. It was only $12 a night but still why is it necessary to pay for the place where you have paid to stay? Accomodation would have been good if it wasn't about scabbing more money at every step. Just include it in the original costs and stop all this ...plus$ for this and $ for that. And somehow the room booked - a twin - was not available and I was forced to share a bed.

Everything is good and the room is newly renivated. Howver, there was still new paint smell which is ok.

Extensive building works going on. Was not told until we arrived. Although the works did not 'officially' start until 09.00, from about 07.30 there wasa lot of building noise. From 09.00 onwards you could not have a conversation in the room because of the building noise from the floors above. Really, they should be honest about this when booking!
