Long Island Resort Whitsundays Guest Reviews
A little shabby chic but has a lovely charm about it, apparently it is undergoing a refurb shortly, had a beach view room which was great and opened directly onto the sand, beautiful island, great for a relaxing break, staff very friendly and helpful, found it really reasonable too considering you are a captured audience it was nice not to be ripped off, it is excellent value for money, having stayed on hamilton island i would def come back here again, its not flashy or overpriced, its simple and unfussy, walks are great, has everything you need for a chilled out holiday

We arrived just after a storm and the resort was in disarray but it could have been cleaned up a lot quicker. also we aould not reach the island until 3 pm due to their jetty not been accessable in rough seas which meant we missed the lunch that was supposed to be included in the price and the man on reception was distictly rude in his attidude.we would not reccommend this resort

An idyllic location with friendly and helpful staff - plenty of activities available and good food.

We couldn't use our balcony because it was full of geckos, beetles, and large leaves. We had a gecko in our room the entire four nights. There was not enough rods to hang towels for drying. The pool swim-up bar was great, but it was closed for no reason the last 2 days. The nightly games (trivia, music, etc.) were fun, but the casino night deceived us that the more you won, the more you could bid--but everyone got the same lame gift from the gift shop (we had to pay $10 to play!). The island was at the end of the ferry route, so we had to always go to another island to catch excursions. We had to stop at 3 other islands on our route to and from the Hamilton island airport. Shute harbour or Daydream island would have been more convenient. Low tide stopped us from getting in the water or doing water sports most of the day because the beach was extremely flat. The food was nothing special and the drinks were very expensive.
