Howard Johnson Inn & Suites Orange

My 2 night prepaid stay turned into a one night stay. The quality of the hotel was not acceptable. People were friendly and polite the conditions were very, very run down. My king, non-smoking room had over one hundred cigarette burns on top of the microwave. The red velvet curtains from the 70's had some holes and plaster stuck to the fabric. The outlet plate next to the bed was broken in half and missing half the cover. The dresser/TV stand handle was broke off. The bathroom had numerous broken tiles and black mold oozing from the corners near the ceiling. The green carpeting had several large white spots that were either a poorly repaired areas or spots that were wore through. The couch looked like Sanford and Son dropped this off because they didn't want this eyesore at their location. The TV was a also throw back from the 70's which was an old tube style that mainly played blizzard scenes from Alaska. I had an early morning flight from Wisconsin to California and by the time I checked into my room I had been on the road for over 20 hours and was tired. If I would have arrived sooner I would not have spent the night. I would however recommend this hotel to any young aspiring Director that is looking for a cheap set to shoot a re-make of Pycho. But for comfort, quality and value I give Howard Johnson a 0. Not Real Happy!!
