very spacious room and full contained kitchen. stayed at a studio unit. reasonable priced. free wi-fi -very rare in NZ. cofee/tea sachets, air condition/heater, towels, bed linens provided and changed daily. laundry available. as the name suggests, it will be more convenient to have own transport though location is quite central. well maintained and enjoyed our stay.

If your looking for basic accomodation, Avenue Motor Lodge is fine. It is beside a busy road, so not so good if you are looking for a quite time. It would benefit from some updating.

Very tired motel, clean but facilities not great and very basic and barely adequate.

The motel wasn't anything special, however, the people were friendly, the room clean, and the hotel situated a short walk from the centre of Christchurch, so a good place to stay.
