excellent service from all staff - at reception, during breakfast etc. - one of the most helpful hotel staffs that I have ever come across; good location, just about 5 mins walk past the Academia; lovely modern, clean, spacious rooms; bit noisy street side with all the mopeds going by so maybe request a back room? would definitely recommend this hotel to friends

We really enjoyed our stay in the Athenaeum Hotel and for €140 for the night this was really good value. The rooms are very clean and the highlight was the breakfast which was really good. The variety of food was top notch. One small complaint would be the damp smell in the corridors and the carpet looking a bit shoddy but it wouldn't put you off. The hotel staff were really pleasent also. We would reccommend this hotel for anyone wanting a good central hotel in Florence.

We slept in a huge room for 4 people with double television, bathroom balcony etc. Very nice and new. We were very impressed. Good breakfast. We raccomended Athenaeum because is a good value 4 stars hotel.

Great staff. The staff went out of their way to help us with all our needs. Very good breakfast buffet. We would go back again.
