Upon arrival was assigned room on first floor with view of abandoned building and vacant overgrow lot across the street. (Google the address) The carpet in this room was dirty and the clothes cabinets consisted of broken particle board. I returned to front desk and request a room that looked more like what was featured on their website. They offered to move me to a new room at an additional charge of 400 DKK.It was 6pm and had no choice but to stay at this location. We moved rooms and sadly found black mold & a thick layer of dust everywhere in the bathroom. The soap dispensener was empty in the shower and there were dirty old used tissues on the floor by the bed. (Gross!!) I left the empty soap dispenser in the sink in hopes housekeeping would change it. Apparently they did not see it when they "cleaned" the bathroom the next day...Hmmm....When we returned to the room I had to take the empty soap bottle to the front desk and request a replacement. The walls are very thin in this hotel. Literally, I could hear everything from the room next door. There are so many other nice places to stay, with MUCH better locations available in Copenhagen, I can't imagine why anyone would choose to stay here.

We knew they had no restaurant, but the bar they have is almost at no use too - waited for a waiter to appear for 15 minutes on Christmas Eve to find out they ran out of mulled wine at 6pm. Later we had to quit a wait for 20 mins to get coca cola. For a 4* hotel I'd have thought I could rely on a snack & drink fridge in the room - it was empty. Breakfast buffet is very poor, definitely not worth 150 kronas pp. The movie play system is silly, you cannot control when you want to play it, though they charge you another 150 kronas for it. The website said they had spa facilities, well not exactly - they collaborate with a spa across the road. There are lots of hotels in Copenhagen, I later saw, I would not stay in Ascot again.

A very nice stay. Friendly staff and excellent location. I will use this hotel again when visiting Copenhagen.

Great loaction near Tivoli and Huvudbangården, close to all major attractions. We got a nice room with a huge french balcony overlooking the inner courtyard, with a big bathroom, excellent for my mum and me. A nice breakfast was included in the price. Would stay again.
