Airtel Plaza Hotel Van Nuys Guest Reviews
Nice Hotel. The only problem we had was that they provided us with restaurant information in their vicinity which was very inaccurate and we end up driving around unnecessarily.

I was pleasantly surprised with the Airtel Plaza Hotel. Every staff member I encountered was extremely nice and helpful, and the room was probably the cleanest hotel room I have ever seen. The building is older, and with that comes older electrical outlets, etc., but the furnishings are all new. The bed was really comfortable. The airport is right out the window, but the plane noise is minimal.

The building is well maintained even is old. There are not frig and microwave. Char is noise but the staff change it. Parking i not free. They charge 10$. It not in the hotel description.

Number one, as one might expect being located next to the airport, the location is very, very noisy. While many of the guests may be aviators and enjoy airport noise, i thought the jet noise made peaceful rest impossible. Number two, the hotel advertises it's availibilty to highspeed internet service which i found to be either slow or down most of the time. It didn't matter weather the connection was WIFI or through the hardwire. Lastly, the hotel looks like it was constructed pretty well yet the low quality handyman maintentence of the structure is causing more long term harm than good (both to the structure and client's impression).

Beware!!! I booked the King Jacuzzi Terrace suite for my anniversary, based on the picture on the Airtel Hotel website. In the picture you can only see the terrace and not the room. When we arrived the hallway leading to the room was old and badly stained. Once inside this VERY SMALL room (website boasts oversized rooms - HA!) it was apparent that an upgrade hadn't been done in years. The carpet was stained, the tiny couch was ripped up on the arms and had stains. The shower was from 1972. The decor was horrible, mismatched and in desperate need of replacement. The TV was very old and didn't face the bed or the couch. The jacuzzi tub paint was starting to peel. Just awful. And the WORST part? The rate was really HIGH. We could've stayed at a really nice hotel in North Hollywood for what we paid for this room. IF they do an upgrade and expand the size of the room I can see charging a higher rate, but COME ON. This room looked like the inside of a cheap motel. We had breakfast at the Landings Restaurant and that was Excellent. We enjoyed drinks in the clipper lounge and that was beautiful inside. Why in the world they haven't upgraded these "Romance Suites" I have NO Idea. THink twice before booking this as a romantic stay!!!
